The application form to compete in 2025 Speaking Proudly is filled out, signed and submitted electronically. It is a good idea to review the form early in your preparation.

The application and your $50 refundable deposit must be submitted between August 1 and 11:45 p.m., Monday, September 15, 2025.       

Part 1 asks for information about you, which the Speaking Proudly registrar will use to maintain contact with you about the competition.

Part 2 requests your speech’s:

• Title
• Summary
• Outline

Character limits are noted.

The registrar provides only Part 2 to the Selection Committee. Speaking Proudly is a “blind” competition, meaning the committee (and judges, volunteers and guests) will not know competitors’ names, schools and other personal information until the end of the competition November 8.

Decisions about applicants rest solely with the Selection Committee. The information you submit must convince the committee you deserve to be among the 24 competitors. Make it your best work!
